Phase 1:

Disaster Relief

Global Empowerment Mission BStrong is responding in the first phase, disaster relief, by supplying and distributing supplies directly to the people in need. GEMs on ground partners, Honduran non profit, Humanity and Hope United & Motorrad Angels and Guatemala’s Conred Agency will distribute needed supplies including water purification systems to the affected areas. In addition, our ground partners, Give to Colombia , and ProIsland will be distributing GEM supplies to Providence and Saint Katalina Colombia.

On October 31, 2020, the category 4 hurricane ETA hit Central America devastating the region with Honduras reporting 57 dead and hundreds missing. On November 16, another Cat 5 hurricane, Iota ravaged the region.

Storm Boris has caused significant flooding across Europe in the past few days. In regions such as Czechia & Poland, this has been the worst disaster in decades. The storm has already taken many lives and has forced thousands of people from their houses.

On September 11th, Hurricane Francine made landfall in southern Louisiana as a category 2 hurricane. New Orleans was hit with a month’s worth of rain in just one day, causing significant flooding. The hurricane intensified rapidly before making landfall.
